EGM/AGM 3:30pm Saturday 21st – note this is at the Falcon Manor Hotel.
Lecture at 5pm at the Falcon Manor Hotel.
Dinner at 7 for 7.30pm. Members are welcome on the meet even if not attending the Dinner – there’s still the AGM, Lecture, breakfasts, Sunday walk and tea to enjoy.
Principal Guest is Silvo Karo who began climbing on his local peak, Triglav, Slovenia, and went on to make over 300 first ascents, climbing over 2000 routes. He was awarded the Piolet d’Or in 2022.
Accommodation:
Lowstern: Bunks/camp at no charge all weekend. Book breakfasts £5 (same price for one or both days, just £5) and Sunday ‘tea’ £4. Pay for breakfasts and/or Sunday ‘teas’ when booking for the meet.
B&B or AirBnB in Settle from £100.
Hotel rooms: Access after 3pm. Book via Michael Smith but pay on leaving. Twin/Double room £145. Suites cost more: Turret +£50, Rafters +£75. Please don’t contact the hotel directly as it causes confusion.
Vans: please use Greenfoot Car Park, and pay at the machine there – not in hotel car park.
Book and pay online for this meet . Use this page to book as soon as practicable but certainly by 24th October making all menu selections, including your guests.

Friday: Some members likely to walk from Lowstern.
Saturday: Annual Dinner: The charge is £49. Dress: Formal i.e. dinner jacket or lounge suit. The menu and full details can be viewed HERE
Sunday: The programme includes:
- A sociable walk starting from the entrance to Clapham’s car park at 1030am .
- Probable caving trip – conditions permitting
Wendy’s Sunday Tea: This is the weekend’s grand finale, a dusk get-together at Lowstern for a jam and cream scone with a cuppa or two, plus a chance to change before heading off home.
