26-28th April 2024 at the Conistone Hostel, a converted Methodist Chapel in the village of Conistone just North of Grassington in Wharfedale. Members will need little introduction to this part of the Dales with its extensive moorland and low level walking along with climbing, caving and mountain biking opportunities. After the New Year LHG meet perhaps we should add wild swimming as well!

We have sole use of this well equipped and comfortable hostel which sleeps 24 (you need to bring your own pillow). The owners have not notified us of any price increase this year so the cost should not exceed £16 per night plus food, less if we get a good attendance. The hostel is administered by the Methodist Church; their views on alcohol consumption are well known but the Meets Secretary has put his neck on the line and promised them that we will comport ourselves in a decorous and sober fashion. Wine and beer glasses probably don’t figure highly in the kitchen cabinets. Becca Humphreys is catering and promises her signature Yorkshire breakfasts.
