28-31st August at our Yorkshire hut, Lowstern.

The August Bank Holiday weekend looms in the near distance, which means it is Introductory Meet time.

We have taken the decision to relocate this meet from Low Hall Garth to Lowstern for logistical reasons, but we are fortunate to have Lowstern at our disposal for the weekend, With caving, climbing, mountain biking and walking on the doorstep, there is plenty of core Yorkshire Ramblers’ activity to sink our teeth into. With the newly renovated facilities in the hut, we have expanded capacity for end of day showering before settling in for an evening of wit and repartee. We need people to organise activities and lots of young (and old) people to participate so do come along. There is plenty of room for camping as well as the indoor accommodation.

When booking, please give special consideration to your breakfast requirements: do you really mean continental breakfast? Or will the smell of bacon from the kitchen prove too much. I will be shopping and catering as per the booking form and would prefer not to have to run the gauntlet of Booths for last minute additions. Likewise, if there are any allergies, food related or otherwise, please let me know either on the booking form (details will be publicly available) or by email (more private) as you prefer.

Please note that this is a catered meet. Anyone with specific dietary requirements must contact the meet leader well in advance to see whether these can be accommodated or not. This is entirely at the meet leader’s discretion. Catering is provided on the understanding that the absence of any allergens cannot be guaranteed.
