Every year the club organises a series of winter meets to Scotland, the Lake District and North Wales.

For the Scottish meet in March 2026, there was plenty of snow and the large YRC party stayed at the SYHA hostel in Aviemore.

This image shows a group descending Fiacaille a’ Choire Chais after a fantastic day on the hill under blue skies, however you can’t see the strong wind which was blowing them down the slope, dictating the use of crampons!
