11-18th April 2026 at the Hotel Eden Nord, Port de Soller. The North West of the island of Mallorca is home to the mountain range of Serra de Tramuntana with a wealth of spectacular limestone peaks and ridges, providing excursions at all grades. There is also extensive sport climbing on sea cliffs and mountain crags as well as some classic gorges. It is an area that many of us will not have visited before so it promises to provide a wealth of new experiences.

Large capacity villas are few and very expensive so the decision has been made to base the meet at the Hotel Eden Nord in Port de Soller. This hotel is used by several outdoor pursuits companies and offers half board at a reasonable price. All rooms can be twin or double and are 886 euros per room if you pay in advance (non-refundable), or 1006 euros, no deposit and free cancellation. These prices are the current ones and are not guaranteed to remain the same if you book late. April is a popular month for walking and cycling so commercial groups are likely to book later on this year, so don’t delay. You can book direct on their website.

Compared to mainland Spain, the Tramuntana is relatively little used so we can expect to avoid the crowds. UK Climbing has details of the main sport crags which you can see HERE .

Maps
Since the IGN Spain maps don’t show footpaths, the Editorial Alpina 1-25k mapping of the Tramuntana is recommended as the best available and this is used in the Cicerone guide. The maps can be purchased in a set of four sheets.
It would be very much preferable if we can all be be accommodated at the Hotel Nord so even though April may seem a long way away, early booking will ensure a close-knit meet.
The preliminary options table below allows you to confirm you have booked, are interested or are looking to share a room. You can also use the WhatsApp chat for the meet to look for room mates before making a booking.

I’m sorry to say that I’m going to have to drop out of this meet. Things may change and I’ll regret it, but it doesn’t seem likely right now. I’ll email Tim.
