Winter UK Meets

YRC party approaching the foot of Clogwyn Du’r Arddu

Every year the club organises a series of winter meets to Scotland, the Lake District and North Wales.

For the Snowdonia meet in Feb 2010, there was plenty of snow and we stayed at Pen Ceunant Uchaf, the excellent Chester Mountaineering Club hut above Llanberis, strategically placed for the NW side of Snowdon.

This image shows the Presidential party descending to the foot of the towering Clogwyn du’r Arddu cliffs. They then climbed out by the Eastern Terrace and up to Snowdon’s summit before descending by Bwlch Main and Llechog.

You can read more about this trip and the subsequent Scottish winter meet in the Meet Report and read about other more recent events in the Meet Report archive.
