Catch up with friends after the AGM at the Falcon Manor Hotel in Settle
and blow away the cobwebs on the traditional Sunday walk.

AGM at 4pm and 5pm lecture both in Settle Social Club, 10 Duke Street, BD24 9DW, ten minutes walk from Falcon Manor towards the market square and set back on left opposite a big tree. Park cars behind.

Dinner is 7pm for 7.30pm at The Falcon Manor, Skipton Rd/Duke St, Settle, BD24 9BD. Dress formal: dinner jacket/lounge suit or similar.

Principal Guest: John Dale: an Original Moldywarp cave explorer in the North since 1974
and a Cleveland MC member since a teenager. He’s climbed at a half decent standard on ice
and rock. Trying to join the Northern Pennine Club in 1976, Gordon Batty declared him ‘too
young’ but in 2017 John was delighted to find he was not too old to join. His talk illustrates
how it is possible to enjoy the outdoors, explore new places and have adventures all within a
couple of hours of a pint of Theakstons.

: Now Full. Try local pubs or B&Bs.
Lowstern: Bunks (no bunk charge but book one via Michael or camp) with breakfast bookable/payable at £5.

Sunday: A full programme including:

  • A walk starting from Langcliffe at 10am arranged by Mick Borroff
  • A cave will be booked by Tim Josephy for those interested, starting from Lowstern at about 10am.
  • Afternoon Ham ‘n Eggs Tea or similar at Lowstern (~3pm, £5, but only if pre-paid – order below)
  • or relax and socialise at Lowstern.
