As with all huts, there are some basic terms and conditions to booking the huts.

  1. Provisional Bookings: all bookings will remain provisional until the completed booking form and deposit, if required, are received.
  2. Deposit: for weekend bookings, a deposit of £100 is required.
  3. Payment: the balance of fees is payable immediately after the hire, in accordance with the entries in the log book, and using the fees slip provided.
  4. Young Persons: any young persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult in loco parentis who has formal written permission from the parents of the young person supervised.
  5. Health & Fire Safety: bookings can be accepted only from groups who designate a “Responsible Person” for the purposes of health & fire safety regulations. This will normally be the group or meet organiser, and should be the first name entered in the Hut Log Book (see below). He/she must make himself/herself familiar with the fire safety systems in the Hut Handbook on arrival.
  6. Log Book: all visitors must fill in the Hut Log Book immediately on arrival with the name of the club or group and the names of all members of the party. This is an important safety requirement. (See further information in the Hut Log book.)
  7. Hirer’s Responsibilities: the hirer shall be responsible for taking reasonable care of buildings, furniture and equipment whilst in residence. All accommodation and grounds must be left clean and tidy before departure. Specific details are given in the leaflet sent out with key information, and in the Hut handbooks. Any damage either found or caused should be reported to the Huts Secretary when paying.
