Huts

The club owns 2 huts, in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District and, as an affiliated BMC club, has access to many more.

As well as being able to book the club huts, you can view maps of hut location and download GPS files (TomTom and GPX) to get you there.

After recent improvements, Lowstern must be amongst the finest premises for cavers, climber and walkers in the Dales. The cottage is in a secluded position in a small wood surrounded by farmland about half a mile from Clapham village, North Yorkshire. It is ideally placed for access to Ingleborough and its caves and potholes, with the other caving areas of Craven are just a short drive away.

Low Hall Garth is an old farmstead cottage situated above Little Langdale Tarn in a delightful and secluded position. It is owned by the National Trust and leased to the YRC. The Coniston fells can be reached directly from the cottage, as can those around Great Langdale by a rather longer walk across Wrynose Pass.

As with all huts, there are some basic terms and conditions to booking the huts.
