LHG Maintenance Sept 2010
In general, no major jobs so time to take a half-day up a hill etc.
- The cottage:
- External: nothing heavy to do, but fill gaps round windows, touch up paint in places (ladders and rope are on site)
- Internal: paint repairs, good scrub
- In the barn, redo the internal walls
- Make a roof over the position for logstore between barn and NT store - we put the supports in last year
- On the road, depends on weather - its easier to see results when there is plenty of water about:
- Clean/enlarge gutters
- Bash a hole through the wall to drain the large/deep wash near the roadend
- Fit some more of our homemade drainer pipes, etc (show willing on our part before restarting the campaign against the county)
Therefore heavy tools eg pickaxes, forks to loosen gravel, shovels would be helpful.
Catering starts Friday supper and ends after Tuesday breakfast. Beer, wine, soft stuff provided, Tariff not yet estimated !
